I already made a complaint about PennFoster, but I have more to add. I will start at the beginning. I decided to attend their school at the beginning of the year(2010). After a little more research, I noticed this school had A LOT of BAD REVIEWS. So I decided to cancel(around
mid Feb.)NO PROBLEM. They said I would receive my refund of $59(within 8 weeks) because I cancelled early enough". Sent email after email and only received auto responses saying it could take a
few days for a reply so I called/. After telling me I would get a full refund, I was informed that I would only get half of my $59 check because only $29 of it was honored by my bank?. I informed them they were full of it because I have the check summary to prove it;. I faxed the summary to them!.Once again, they told me I would receive my refund within 8 weeks, but my money would be sent in two checks'. I finally received my $29 check about 2 weeks ago". (giving up on ever getting the rest of it) A few months ago, I got a
letter in the mail from Penn Foster'. My
first thought was "Wow, they are actually going to give me the rest of my money." NOPE....IT WAS A BILL FOR $1,382!!! I called their office FURIOUS! I was told it was a MISTAKE and they would send me a revised copy that had the balance of $0! Ha. A few weeks later I got another bill and it was even more! By this time I was tired of playing their games. I then got in touch with a higher authority, who investigated the issue for me and was resolved soon after. PennFoster even called me and apologized and in the same breath told me I had JUST cancelled and it takes time to get a refund. haha. I CANCELLED MONTHS AGO ***! 1292a42
